The mission of Einstein Healthcare Network is “With humanity, humility and honor, to heal by providing exceptionally intelligent and responsive healthcare and education for as many as we can reach.”
Einstein provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the residents of the greater Philadelphia region, and delivers this care in a manner that is personally satisfying to patients and their families. Einstein offers a wide range of healthcare programs and services, ranging from complex care requiring advanced technology and expertise to preventive medicine and community education programs. Einstein cares for each person regardless of race, religion, national origin or ability to pay and has done so since its inception. We recognize our responsibility to use our resources to elevate the health status of the communities we serve. To continue to meet those responsibilities, the network must remain financially viable.
We believe it is our responsibility to ensure that the resources raised through the Office of Development are used to further the mission of Einstein and its programs. We believe in transparency and will make available by request our annual report, IRS 990, 501 (c)(3) documentation and audited financial statements. We will never sell, rent or share any donor's personal information.
We believe in the Donor Bill of Rights created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits. What We Do
The Office of Development at Einstein Healthcare Network supports the Network’s mission to provide the best care for as many as we can reach. We strive to reach this goal by securing the financial support needed for the network to provide much needed services and programs for our community.
Individual Giving is the backbone of our philanthropic program. Every dollar we raise helps us to provide much needed services to our patients and the community we serve. Even the smallest donation can make a difference. Some of our most important programs and initiatives have been the result of one person’s vision and dedication. Throughout the year, Einstein hosts numerous events designed to highlight recent achievements and raise funds for special projects. For upcoming events click here.
It would be impossible for Einstein to offer so many quality programs and services without the support of our dedicated volunteer organizations such as the Auxiliary, and the Breast Cancer Action Group. Member volunteers selflessly give their time, knowledge and expertise to improve the lives of our patients, staff and community. Learn more about how you can become involved.
Our grants department is responsible for crafting and submitting applications and proposals to a variety of funding organizations, from small family foundations to large government agencies. We work with grant readiness teams throughout the institution to ensure that all applications are prepared within established guidelines and that proposals work to advance Einstein’s overall mission. We also oversee the administration of approximately 60 active grants. Additionally, we manage the internal distribution of restricted funds, including tracking expenses within the institution to ensure that all funds are used in accordance with the grantor’s requirements. Einstein has a long-standing history of caring for disadvantaged and underserved populations. We work with local, state and federal representatives to ensure ongoing access to services for our patients. Click here to learn more about our advocacy efforts.
